My Celica GT came with aftermarket wheels with different lug nuts. Kinda like these (attached image), but without the extension things. I bought a lug wrench to try to get them off, but the ends wouldn't grip since the metal was in the way. Anybody have any recommendations to get these off?

you have a lot of options and the easy way would be to get the lugs you want then go to a small family owned tire shop and give one of the workers $10 to do it. or you could get a thin walled socket in the correct size or if its a keyed lug find a local car group on face book and play lug key roulette and make some friends.

Whenever I have these problems, I spray them down with some WD40 and leave it for a good bit of time to let the oil soak in.I realize the problem is coming from being unable to reach the nuts (heheh) but maybe if they're greasy enough they won't need to be completely covered by the wrench? I dunno, fam.
