Hi, currently a junior in high school getting my first car. My grandma drives my dads old 2000 Celica GT that I could get for free. Or should I dish out like 100 a month for the GTS? Is the difference huge? I know the GTS is faster but its not like I'm going to be street racing. I do plan on doing mods just none on the engine because I don't want to deal with the insurance crap. Also, it is kind of hard to find a GTS where I live. There is only like 1 listed in the area but I could probably just wait a month or 2 and find one. So yeah just need some advice.

I would go for the free GT if I were you. 140 Bhp for a first car is more than enough (my first car only had 55). The suspension is pretty much identical to the GTS so the car will handle just as good around the corners and you will get slightly better fuel economy.

There's no issue with the GT. My first Celica was a GT (I now own a GT-S after totaling the GT). The low end torque will make it feel quick, you'll handle great, its great on gas, and its free!
