I know that he OEM alternator is 80amp rated. Does any one know of a company makes an oversized alternator for our cars ??? A direct bolt-on replacement that's like 150amp rated ?

I'm pretty sure that no one makes a HO replacment alternator for our cars. If you find one, let me know! I think that if you want to get more out put from your charging system, you will need to get your factory alternator re-wound. It would probably cost around $75 to modify the factory alternator for more power.

assuming you want to upgrade for a better stereo, read this thread first: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=298Mean Green makes alternators for domestics, with very few import apps. In fact, doing a search for high powered alternators will net you results for mostly SUV/4x4 applications.

Yeah I'm already getting a cap and a optima battery. I'm just keeping my options open in case I kill my alternator.
