Hi Fam, The Toyota Celica has been my dream car since I was 5. I was finally able to get one a month ago! I’m looking to do some upgrade to my car since it’s already preforming at factory default maximum. How ever I’m looking to improve my car. What are the best first upgrades to me.

Hey, welcome and congrats on your recent purchase.

What year did you get? GT or GTS? Manual or auto?

If you're looking only for performance; there is quite a bit. I'm gonna leave out forced induction because is just isn't or attainable for some people. NOW...

-short ram intake
-cold air intake
-headers
-exhaust
-custom tune
-high flow cat

-lightweight flywheel
-short shifter
-upgraded shifter bushings
-weighted shift knob

-lowering springs/coilovers
-front/rear sway bars
-front/rear strut bars
-larger (wider) wheels/tires
-big brake upgrade

-weight reduction

There's also a variety of TRD products like thermostats, etc that'll help you out. www.MonkeyWrenchRacing.com [monkeywrenchracing.com] and www.se7enmotorsports.co.uk [se7enmotorsports.co.uk] are both great resources as well.

I will add more as I remember more. Of course, there are also a limitless amount of aesthetic mods you can do too.

Have fun!

I have 2002 GTS VVTL-I thank you for all the suggestions! That’s a lot so I’ll do my research. It’s not going to be my racing car it’s my everyday car but I still want it to be fun smile also it is an automatic

If its an auto and an everyday car, those suspension mods will be the best bang for your buck. A Celica that can handle, regardless of if its manual or auto, is a ton of fun.
