i got a AEM CAI for my 2000 gts.. the engine check light is on...i posted before.. but no one helped.. so im posting again... what should i do about this?? my car runs fine.. but that damn light is annoying!

what can be wrong? oh yeah..anybody with AEM CAI...does one of your wires and a plug at the end not needed for the intake? cause in my car.. one of this "thing" doesnt go anywhere in the intake.. so i just zip tied it.. is this right?? please help guys

haha- calm down, breath, grab a 10mm socket wrench and open your hood.

With the socket wrench unscrew the Negitive terminal "-" of your battery for about 5 minutes to reset the ECU.

After 5 minutes, screw the Negitive terminal of the battery back on tight and reprogram your radio stations and clock. After this you won't have a check engine light.

hey steven..thanks for the tip but thats the first thing i did...it went off for a day.. and came back on...so i guess im outta luck...

yep, thats correct... but you might also wana plug that hole with a cap or something that will prevent air from reaching THAT particualr sensor... this may be where you problem lays... air is intering the valve and telling your ECU that there is a loss of pressure.

im only sugesting this because I saw it happen ONCE before.

a trip down to the local home-depot will give you plenty of ideas on how to plug that hole - secialy the plumbing section smile
