Celica Forums General Discussion General Sunroof wont open

Hey guys!
I bought my 2000 gts off some kid end of November. Numerous issues popped up after, the largest being the need for head gasket repair. Right now, I'm trying to work out the smaller details. I did a clean sweep on the fuses and am working on the relays now.
However, the sunroof... I actually ended up having to replace the whole dome and switch panel (dome Syu doesn't work, grrr). So, the sunroof *wants* to open, motor working well, but it won't go past the initial upward tilt. Won't slide back at all. Wondering if anyone knows what might be jamming her up.

Having the same exact problem, just going to end up taking it into the shop

I've had similar problem. Turned out to be bad switch. Replaced it with a toggle switch. It's all good now. Never had anymore issues.

Had the same problem with mine during certain temperatures. I went with replacing the switch, which also fixed it for me.
