Hello friends. Recently purchased a run down 2000 Celica GT as a project for me and my son to work on. One of the items that is in need of replacing is the automatic transmission upper position indicator. I can readily find them for the GTS (with the notch to go into sport mode) but not the version for the GT which does not have sport mode. All of the places to purchase says that this will NOT FIT my GT. Does anyone know if it will fit (but look funny because you can never use the notched area) or are the clips, etc. different in such a way that it will simply not attach to the center console housing properly?

TIA!

Welcome! Good choice on the project. The GT and GTS auto trans indicator trim is interchangeable.

Thank you for the reply. I will order that part then. One of many. Let the restoration begin. I should really be getting some pictures as I do this!
