Celica Forums General Discussion Engine and Performance 2ZZ-GE Failure - Replacement

Hey there!

I have a Celica GT-S 2001 (2ZZ-GE)
My engine got hydrolocked and damaged in a way that it cannot be repaired therefore I've decided to replace it with an other used one.
However, I would like to know if there will be any issues by getting a 2003+ 2ZZ-GE.
Will the fact that the newer models have electrical throttle be an issue?
As far as the engine is a 2zz-ge of any generation, is it gonna be a perfect fit? (no mods to ECU etc will be needed)
