For just a little bit over a year i have been trying to find out as much information about the 2002 Celica GT Panasonic. From what I have gathered so far only 800 of these were ever built in Canada and all were GT from 2002, from what I have been told by my local dealer. I tried to ask Panasonic Canada if they knew anything about it and sadly they couldn't find any specs they used.

I do drive this limited edition Celica a bit and have a GTS Celica to swap the motor, ecu, motor harness and transmission over to make it just a bit better.

I haven't seen the factory sub-woofers it came with nor the amp, as I bought the car without the head-unit and subs.

If anyone has any other info about this edition to clear up somethings I may have been told wrong or if they know somethings I haven't been able to find it be a great help.

Cheers

There's northing too outright special about it other than the audio (head unit and subs) are Panasonic. The interior front seats have red cloth. Actual red cloth, not the black/red style of the GT. Though, the rear seats are standard cloth. And there are a few other accents, such as the shifter, steering wheel, and floor mats. There may be an upgraded battery and alarm system, but thats speculation. The body sports the TOYOTA Action Package, aka "TRD Aero." And there are graphics across the hood, along with a badge on the front quarter-fender with the words "Panasonic Toyota" on it.

The differences between the standard Celica version and of this Panasonic "special edition" Celica were so minor, that it was quite obvious it was a limited-run. And thats what made this variation's name reputation precede itself.

They also made a Gts version of the Panasonic. I have one. They only made 50 with a 6spd. Very rare and hard to find documentation.
