Looking for some help for my girlfriends 2002 Celica GT. Been trying to get rid of a P0441 engine code, and diagnose why it wants to die after we gas it up. It's got roughly 220,xxx on the clock but runs pretty well otherwise. I've checked the VSV under the hood, and replaced the one by the canister, but the code persists. I've seen elsewhere it might be a bad vapor canister but I don't want to start just throwing parts at it, especially since that canister is like $200+. If anyone has and suggestions or info on what to check next I'd be appreciative.

I had the same 400s codes after 250K miles.

Replaced both switches front and back, did not fix the problem.

Bought an used charcoal canister on eBay for $100, 1 hour labor to install $80, all codes were cleared, still good after 2 years 30K miles.
