Does anyone know if I can use the same catalytic converter of a Toyota celica GT on a GTS, is there any difference between those two cars on the catalyst. I have a 2003 GTS and I found some aftermarket catalytic for a GT but I couldn't for the GTS and the original is so freaking expensive almost 2k dollars. This is on Ebay Catalytic Ebay [ ebay.com] Or should I go for this one on Catalytic Summit Racing [ summitracing.com]Summit Racing

why you have to change the CAT?
What engine code you got?
There may be ways to use the existing CAT

I'm wondering the same thing. The dealership offers one for the gt and gts separately but they are way too expensive. I'm not sure if there is even that much of a difference between the two. I'm looking at this one but it says its only for the gt. https://www.carid.com/magnaflow/hea...4.html?singleid=22198764&url=5796226

The piping and hanger locations are different.

So will GT converters not fit the GTS?

So will GT converters not fit the GTS? The piping and hanger locations are different. Modify those to make them fit, or install the matched part to the specified vehicle engine.

if you have the P0420 Cat conv inefficient, instead of replacing the Cat, you can add a tube extension (14mm) to the aft O2 sensor behind the cat. that would fix the P0420 problem.
Depending on what state you are in, check the emission req to see if it's legal to modify exhaust to pass smog.
