Hello what a great resource here. I searched threads but couldn't find information on this. I am looking a a new motor for my blown 2000 GTS auto (2zz) and found one from a 2004 manual. They said that the 2004 has different exhaust manifolds, throttle body. Wondering if anyone has done this and could advice how difficult this would be and which parts or if I can just use the old ones. Any information/ suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

And you are looking to go from automatic to manual, so that would include some changes inside your cabin, related to the transmission swaps.

Pay attention to ECU changes and DBW (Drive By Wire) requirements.

If you know what you are doing and are not relaying on everything to be simple bolt-on/swaps, you should be able to make the adjustments you need, with the mechanic/tuner shop tools.

I plan on just keeping it automatic for now. So is the ecu and exhaust needing modification. I'm not a professional but I have a mechanic helping me out. Is there any additional parts I need to have hand to make it work. Thanks for your response
