Or, more specifically, MY alarm Is there a fuse I can pull or something? I want it to not engage when I lock the doors, is there a way I can do this? Other than just locking the doors from inside by hand?

It honks like crazy when disabling/activating it I think it's a problem with the wiring to the horn itself, I'm getting it checked next week. It tries to do the chirp-chrip type honk, but instead it sticks, and I get Hooooonnnnkkkk!!! And sometimes it doesn't turn off until I put the key in

Something like the way you change it to unlock everything with only one touch of the unlock button, instead of two. Probably something like pull the key out of the ignition a hundred times, and then shift into 3rd.

Problem is, it's not the stock alarm system, it's one the dealer installed (and they haven't sent me the damn manual for it yet!), so I don't even really know what it is. It's from (or at least ensured by) National Security, but I can't find any info on them either I think I'll see if the dealership where I got it is on the way when I go to San Diego tomorrow. Else I'll wait til Monday and give them another call

I had a problem with my alarm, too. If dealer installed, its probably a Pursuit alarm. Underneath the steering column, there is a valet button. Hold the button down while turning the ignition on. Jiggle the key a bit. Keep trying until you hear you alarm deactiviate. If theres no valet button, consult the manual, imo or call the dealer.

Ok, stopped by my dealer on the way to San D. and grabbed the installation manual. I couldn't get most of the things to work (as I think something is wired wrong somewhere, the local dealer will be looking at it Friday). But it did show me the correct wire to unplug to keep the alarm from activating (after finding the damn box! )

if you don't want the alarm system to arm and activate, lock the car with your key instead.
