Halogen projector low beam is dim. I want much brighter and farther beams of light, may be 200-300 feet in front of the car/

I tested a LED spot light bar, 6 CREE LEDs. It does project a very bright narrow cone, about 15 deg radiant, beyond 200 feet. The spec says 1,500 lumens, which is about correct. It runs cool, felt no heat when power on and held in hand. It draws only 1 A, so I will connect it to the FOG lamp line and turn it on or off when needed.

The pic shows the narrow white spot beam on top of the low beam Halogen yellow beam, lit up the back of the car about 200 feet in front.

The other pic shows the wide combination spot/flood beam with 12 LEDs on top of the yellow Halogen low beam spot. It's too dim not serving my need for distance spot light.
