I don't know if it will work.
You don't know if both engines share the motor mounts.
What configuration was the 3S-GE setup for? FF, AWD, FR or MR? If it was setup for FR or MR, have lots of fun finding or converting it so it mates with the proper transmission.
You can also have fun when it comes time to do a SMOG check on your car. If the motor in your car is older than the car itself, you'll fail. If the motor in your car was designed for a AWD, FR or MR, and you have it in your FF, you'll fail smog. That goes for SMOG in California Scott. I just thought I'd share some information before you did anything serious.

i saw a pic a while ago the engine doesnt' fit very well had to have a lot of custom cutting and fabricating it is not as easy as just changing motor mounts.
the engine is also extrewmely tilted to the back of the car as well.
