Hello everyone!
So stoked that I’m going to be joining this community tomorrow and that I found this website for future reference. Thanks to those that created or moderate it. I found a 2000 GTS (automatic transmission unfortunately) with only 78,000 on the odometer and just looking for some general tips on what to look out for as I get to know my new baby?
Absolute red, has had the lift bolts replaced, no significant rust damage or leaks. Mostly cosmetic issues. Any tips appreciated, I will post pics on here once I get better light tomorrow.

Do a OBDII scan for any major DTCs.

Inspect coolant and oil for any evidence of oil/coolant mixing due to cracks by previous engine overheating.

Check for engine oil and coolant leaks.

Remove and inspect spark plugs for normal burning with slightly brown tips, no oil, no residues.

Do compression test on all cylinders, Each should be about 200 PSI +/- 10% of each other.
