To all the celica driver out there. Does any body knows what kind radar detector is good to buy and have use it before?

do they make one where the sensor goes in ur front grill? i think i've heard of that before right????

i've seen scramblers before that mount there...but those are illegal thumbsdown

The only one that I'm aware of that goes in ur front grill is the detector that blocks the radar signal from the radar gun.

I think Escort makes the ones with the remote sensors, but they cost big $$$$, like $700 or more.

Yup, I was right the Escort SR7. It has weather proof sensors that mount on the front and rear of the car. It costs $800, wow!!!

i got my radar detector from sears and it works great and the price was only $100 smile or you could save money and not speed tongue

I think it was called the phaser...i dunno it was on the radio...It was okay but htose things just scare me everytime i heard it go off!

yes they are..also if the cop thinks that you have one (say if your going 80mph and it reads 45mph) he can point the lazer as your driving away..the scrambler only works when your driving towards the cop.

Valentine one ALL THE WAY. Awesome lil' radar detector. Volume knob with mute function. Detects EVERYTHING. I've gotten readings when the cop was over half a mile ahead of me. LOTSA warning time for you to slow down (especially on the highway or interstate)
