Good afternoon, my 1994 Celica gt 2.2L, 5s-fe) randomly had an rpm decrease going 80, no throttle response, cranks but doesn't start. Gets fuel, sounds like it wants to start, all cab headlights, electronics work.
Some mechanic friends did a voltage test and found it's not getting spark to the spark plugs, suggested trying the igniter, or crankshaft position sensor.
I just tried the igniter (new) to no success. Bought crank position sensor, distributer cap and rotor too just in case.
Anyone had this issue?
And does anyone know where the crankshaft position sensor is on this engine or have pictures?
Timing belt looks fine, someone on FB suggested looking at that so I'm clearing that potential.
