where can i get a different auto shift knob? does it matter about the OD?

Just check websites - NOPI.com / Summit Racing ? etc. There are LOTs of different shift knobs far autos.

True, but you don't want to mess with them. Universal knobs use pin screws that wear out in time. My Isotta knob (mannual) is nothing more than a $45 paper weight.
I used to love it now I hate the little fucker.

Razo and MOMO (automatic) are nice. MOMOIT.com
Ebay sells this kindda stuff and even Ebay can't screw up a shift knob.

Saw this one on eBay, its a universal shifter. Just type in "Auto Shift Knob" and you'll see it.
