Thanks for stopping by.

I just got this really nice 02 celica, no rust and amazing condition for the mileage. It has a catback, intake and some modified suspension. I was wondering what I could do with around 3000 dollars of mods, once again im completely new and any advice would be helpful.

Depends on what you're looking to buy and how you want to build your car. Check your tires, make sure they're from a brand you trust and don't have a lot of mileage. If they're in rougher shape, maybe put $600 or so aside for new tires. I would put another $200-$300 into general maintenance, (oil change, brakes, etc.). Once you trust the car, you should start looking into mods. A nice set of rims will run you $1200 or so.

as you can see there's a lot you can do with 3k. rims and tires are pricy and will eat up a third easy. ill post pictures soon I've been doing all my work after work but come Friday I'll have more time to actually do stuff. really first question to ask is what will you use your car for? track days? you want to remove weight. Daily driver? that's my route I'm going full in on comfort modernizing it.

Hello, still new to the Forum but have a 2000GT. Why Mods? does the car run perfectly? Is it your primary car or a secondary car? This will answer a lot of questions. For me I spent around 1k just on fluids/bushings/tires/headlight improvements, I also had a slight leak in the head gasket and axle seals. Once that was all done I was thinking some good struts and maybe, just maybe a sway bar. Car will never be a powerhouse but with its weight/power ratio it can be an excellent corner carver.

I'm actually looking into changing on the fluids in my Celica, did you go to a place like firestone, or did you do it yourself? would you have a ballpark idea on how much it cost? I'm doing the oil myself thinking more like transmission fluid and brakes.

went to an independent shop called Christian Brothers here in NWA, no pressure, great prices but you have to pay for good work.

Awesome!! Well then forced induction is the way to go! Be sure to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors!! Tons of options out there if you’ve got the $$
