hey guys I have an 02 celica gt and it has 1 po. they installed some crappy aftermarket key fob thing that ended up making the car not start. other than the crappy key fob thing the car is bone stock. I got that issue resolved but while I was under the dash I noticed this plug not attached to anything. this is probably a long shot but could anyone identify what this part of the harness is and where it's supposed to be plugged into? I appreciate any help and please go easy on me the stuff I work on is generally a lot older and simpler lol.

These should be no loose connector in that area.. It has to plug into something.

The Body Control Module is a white plastic box under the radio stack. It has 4 or 5 of those large connectors plugged into it.

If one is not plugged in a number of accessories would not work.

Bro it looks like the obd port. Mine looked just like that and it was also kinda dangling back there. I had to pull it out to use it. See if you can get a obd scanner hooked up to it
