I installed my Intake two days ago and after 100 miles the CEL light started to glow. I installed everything like the Installation guide said and I don t know what the problem could be. I already installed it again and took of the Battery of my car but after 100 miles the light came back again. The car is 2003 celica GT (europe). It engine is the same as in the US except that we don t have the OBD EVAP Controller. Please help me.

hi i had this problem the first time i installed my injen cai. after a couple of weeks my cel came on also. i put the stock air box back on and it went away. a week later i reinstalled the cai and after a couple of weeks the cel came on again. this time i took my car to my mechanic and he ran a diagnostic check. the error was #420. he said that it means the catalyst system efficiency is below threshold. it sounds like we have the same problem. i did have to replace an o2 sensor a few months after i got my car but that was before i even got my cai. i just took my cai out for the winter time. do you notice any change in acceleration when the cel is on. my car seemed to have no pickup whenever the cel came on. take the cai out and take the car to the dealer. see if one of your sensors needs to be replaced. i've gone through 2 o2 sensors and my car isn't even a year old.

sorry i thought you had a cai... we still share the same symptoms though so i would take the car back to toyota and let them fix it under warranty.

Thank you for your reply. But I found the problem on myself it was not the same as you had. It was an Installation mistake cause I swapped the wires for the Pressure Sensor(it is were the two gray hoses go in and with the black Connector) and the Butterfly valve Controller which is underneath the Stock air box(blue connector). But I changed them and now everything is OK. And i did not find any power loss while my cell was glowing. Please excuse my bad english but I am from Europe.
