Celica Forums News Portal r/Celica 4th gear slipping? [r/Celica]

I have a 2000 celica gt and id say 80% of the time i shift into 4th it will grind and try and “bounce” out of gear and im not sure if my transmission or clutch to blame or if its i just have to really make sure its in gear before releasing the clutch. Ive been driving this car for about a year so i think its safe to say i know where 4th is and since this has been happening so frequently i have made it a habit to really hold and make sure its in gear before releasing the clutch. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
