Hello, this is me first post on this subreddit.

I'm currently looking at a 1998 celica gt with the 2.0l engine. I'm based in the Uk.

The car in question has 150,000 miles, and has been sat since october when it had the timing and aux belt changed. The car also has no MOT but previous advisories give me a hope that it'll be fine on the next one. The only thing that flags up is the rear subframe has some corrosion.

On the advert, the car is plugged into a battery (i assume cause it's been sat since october) and a friend has said that it's idling quite high.

I'm fairly new to working on cars and would love something as a project/something to learn to work on so i'm looking for a cheap(ish) sporty car to learn.

Any advice/info/pointer would be greatly appreciated!

I have stretched the video as well.
