i want to convert my automatic gts to a 6 spd stick. anyone know where i can get this job done in the new york area? i live on long island but id be willing to drive 600 miles to do it. anyone know how much it would cost for the parts and labor?
Ive heard that it isnt that expensive. All you need to do is buy a new transmission (manual obviously) and the clutch pedal. I have a performance shop i go to all the time and they tell me its really easy. i dunno...thats my two cents.

ive had friends do it, 3 of em to be exact, and every one of em has screwed up their engine, 2 blew it up, and one had to convert back to his auto. the shops were respectable, and have been known to do good work, but even they advised my friends against doin it, i think you should just trade in for a 6-spd. hope that helps
