Hey all. I have this annoying rattle that only happens when I accelerate. The rattle happens between 3k and 4.5k RPMs. The sound comes from the passenger side, and only during the 2 mentioned rpm bands. Sounds like it is coming from behind the dash. Could this be a heat shield or something? confused

I have a similar thing that happens to me...at almost exactly 2000 RMPs there's a kind of high pitched vibration noise from the trunk area...still haven't narrowed it down any further than the trunk area, someday I might figure out what it is.

My rattle still comes from the passenger dash area. Ho hum, I'll try to get under the car this weekend.

The gray sliding thing for the sunroof on my car rattles a lot also...especially if i have the sunroof opened just a little. It rattles less when I push the thing all the way back.

Yeah my sunroof rattles too. I think that there is a way to fix that in the Tech Info. section. I'm pretty sure all you have to do is put some felt pads on there. But I'm not sure.

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

After some research on another forum eek I found that it might be the hard A/C line that runs through the firewall. The bolt might be loose. It would explain the fact that the noise comes from the passenger side dash. I will check it today and tell ya'll whats up.

hi,did this fix the problem or did somthing else. i have noise coming from what sounds like behind the head unit. it sounds like exhaust but exhast seems sold and so does heat shield for exhaust by manifold all tight. it happens when i accelerate, as i said it sounds like the exhaust is vibrating but no signs. car drives perfect and was sounding great before this started happening. it sounds like the join of exhaust is loose and wind getting in lol thats the only way i can desribe it . please help
