here are my stock wheels i painted them black what do you think?

Never liked dark/black rims. Rims should be visible, not hidden.

not my style but if you like it thats all that matters..seems that im the only one on the site that doesnt like it but thats ok

i used duplicolor high heat spray paint they also make wheel specific paint too i also got 2 cans of wheel clear coat 3 cans of the color you want.

wet sand the rims very good and mask off the tires i used 600 grit sand paper.

spray even coats of the color paint about 5 coats

then wet sand again after it dries

clear coat is next i did about 3 coats

then wait 48 hours for them to dry.

oops i did mispell the title sockies LOL

they look really good, how durable is the paint? Does it easily chip?

they are pretty durable so far i have had no problems with chipping and they have stood up to 4 car washes already

as long as theres a lot of clear coat you should be fine

Did you do the backs also??or can you see the silver through to spokes? By the way, they look Very nice, Props for being origional!!
