black sticky stuff?

like tape?? confused

spoilers should be screwed into the rear deck, not stuck on with tape.

if you take off the plastic that is in the car, below the spolier, i think that you will be able to see the bolts/screws. when you find them, just tighten them down to spec and you will be fine.

if you dont see any bolts/screws, then definitely take it to toyota and ask whats up, becuase that sounds kinda weird, attaching a spoiler with tape, and its also kinda dangerous (if it goes flying off of the car at 80mph eek )

I had the same problem, just tighten or replace the nut(s) that hold the wing on. Very easy to do, no need to pay toyota $60 or more for a $1 10mm nut.

it is not a black sticky pad...

it's a small, thin layer of foam on it to protect it where the spoiler meets with the body of the trunk...

underneath, inside the trunk, you need to take off the cover on the hatch, then you will see the 4 bolts holding the spoiler on...check to see if they are loose.
