I have an '02 Liquid Silver GTS without factory H.I.D lights. Anyone know how much this option would cost me to purchase from the dealer seperatly? Anyone else done this?

it will not be 2 grand directly from the dealer...

all they are ordering is the H.I.D. kit that toyota uses and it will run 500+

but keep in mind, Toyota has a different headlamp assembly for their H.I.D. Celica's that have the option installed...they look a bit different.

For both hid headlights, motors, wiring, ballasts and bulbs you are looking at about 1500-2000 or a little less. I asked when I bought my 03. Toyota uses D2S bulbs so just buying the hid kit will not fit plus you need the motors that move the beam up and down, and the wiring harness is different, that is why it is so expensive.

The motors are on the headlights with are hooked up to a switch inside the car, this allows you to move the HID beam up and down.
