i dont want anyone to be offended by this but like 50% of the time people with TRD body kits dont know crap about modding, and thats why they get stuff like that, and barret your trd celica is one of the better ones!

acutally, i do also...i mean i don't HATE it, but in conjunction with iced, i see just as many people with them as without them...and most of the time it isn't a gts (no offense gt's at all!), and yea, i mean i have to admit the trd body kit looked incrediable when i first saw it, but now it's just kinda bland and overdone...i don't like to consider it a 'body kit' more like an 'alternative body style option' type of thing.

but hey, it can still look really good, i mean its a whole different story if the person has a lowered ride on the kit...it looks mean!

Gunmetal/black wheels. I know that they are very popular right now and considered to be very JDM cool, but I just don't like they way they look on any car.

People who aren't into tuning see cars with gunmetal rims and think that they are just steel wheels without hub cap covers on them. rofl

I've had to explain to a bunch of my friends that they are dark aftermarket wheels, not wheels that are missing the plastic snap on cover.

I must admit, though, that I think that gunmetal wheels with a polished lip look hot! thumbsup

Yeah, i don't like unfinished body kits either, but i have no choice since i hit a raccoon and only had enough for an anftermarket bumper and paint for it, so i'm not gonna like my car for a few weeks until i get the rest of the kit. I'd have to kick my own ass though if i drove it unpainted. Also a problem cause i was gonna get my rims first, but $1000 in damage will screw that idea for a few months, so i'll have a body kit without rims, but at least i've got the alum. 15's. Better than hub caps.

I don't really hate on anyones car because what you do to your car is an expression of you like aggressive kits= aggressive people or big ass wing = well I dunno but I dont think anyone should be offended by what people say or care what other people think as long as you like it...

With that said I hate with a passion wings bigger than the car itself or a car thats been primered for like a year and the owner just wont paint it. thumbsup

One of the worst modifications you can do to a Celica is put altezzas, I know everybody has said that but still they look seriously nasty. Cuz it just makes it look like the average day civic/accord.

I think whatever someone does reflects their own personality. LED accented car parts don't really impress me i.e. wiper squirters, exhaust tips, neon subwoofer rings, etc. I also prefer less vinyl and properly painted parts. I have been guilty of putting cosmetic parts on my car (JDM sill, Carbon Fiber bezel, S2000 antenna, body kit), but hey, I think it's difficult to stay strictly with performance upgrades.

thank you thumbsup the whole body kit is molded together grin

in my opinion... i don't dislike any mod as long as it's done the right way to the right car... for example.. i don't like metal wings, but my friend has a saturn with metal-looking graphics on the side that go with the wing... and it looks hott... and i don't really like the looks of carbon fiber hoods.. unless there are more carbon fiber pieces on the car than just the hood... that way it all goes together..

and i have to say... i love the TRD body kit... although i do agree that it is more of an "option" than a "kit" since toyota started offering the same kind of thing in the action package...

the hoodscoop on the celica is not false,if you look closer you would notice it guides incoming air down behind the engine to the exhaust heat shield to help push unwanted heat out of the engine compartment!

the hood scoop is functional, otherwise toyota would not put it there or cap it off like on the 4runners.
