ok.. after doing a search.. for 15 mins.. i couldnt find a topic where lift was defined.. for both auto n manual celica's. i know the lift timing is variable but when does lift actually kick in?
i remember seeing an post about problems with the lift bolt on some celica's with particular vin #'s but when would i know if down the road i need to have my lift bolt serviced or replaced...?? im new to this so no rude posts k?

what kind of info are you looking for? check out the "featured articles" section down on the forums list for diagrams/discussion about lift. as for lift bolts, there is a TON of info over on newcelica.org and hardly any here

I notice is kicks in after 6 grand with 50% or greater throtle being applied, and it just makes for a sweet killing when you got some 5-spd next to on the freeway and you glide it down into fourth and hit 6k and just start pulling away. Right about then more 5spds have to shift from fourth to 5th(overdrive) and it's just all over cause you hit the lift powerband as soon as you go into 5th and just keep on pulling. I havn't had to go into 6th when doing this type of thing on the freeway, althou a 5th gen celica did put up a good fight(more than accords or civics). I think had some kinda forced induction under the hood thou, considering the car was primer gray, it had some kinda work done.
