Hi,
I have the JBL 8 speaker premium sound system (stock) in my celica. I was wondering if you guys could give me some info on what I can do. I dont want to add anything extra, like subs and what not. I would like to replace the factory speakers with maybe something that sounds with more range. I mean, they sound pretty good, but I just dont feel like they have enough range and go deep enough. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Well for starters you could go with a nice component setup with crossovers in the doors along with a nice set of 3-way speakers in the rear. Add in a decent deck and a 300-400x4 amp and you will have great sound. But after about 4-5 days the lack over bass and overwhelming high-end sound will drive you back to the local audio shop and have you screaming for subwoofers.

get a strong pair of high quality components for the front, an 2 channel amp to power them, and leave the rear stock.

if all you want is more range than you should add a 10" sub run it around 80 hz, and put your bass down on your head unit so your stock speakers can focus on mids and highs which they do just fine. check out sounddomain.com they carry a sub called image dynamics, idq series, they are the most bang for the buck as far as sound quality goes, and get a amp.
