What if i got some premium gas and put three bottles of Octane Booster in the tank? Would that hurt anything? My boy said it would be all right on bigger engines but that it could possibly fuck up a four banger! What do you guys think?

Tell someone else with a 4 banger and a shittier car to try it first. I wouldn't risk it.

I would just buy the offroad octane booster, one bottle should do it, and it shouldn't really mess anything up that i know of, and i don't think a cop is going to know if you put it in or not, i don't know if its going to help at all though, up to u.

go to your local track and fill up on 110 octane octane booster is useless...it say's like 7 points or whatever ona bottle but there are 10 points in each octale level...so 91 octane plus 10 points will be 92 octane. you wont feel a difference...get racing fuel

Yep..what spaztikid said...not enough octane to do much...how ever I have heard that after a full tank of FI cleaner one should use a can of octane booster to help clean things out.

ONLY USE FUEL INJECTION CLEANER EVERY 3,000 MILES AT EVERY OIL CHANGE. THE OCTANE BOOSTERS WILL MAKE YOUR MOTOR RUN TO HOT. THE ONLY WAY TO BE ABLE TO RUN 100 OCTANE IN YOUR CAR IS TO REMOVE THE CAT AND STRAIGHT PIPE YOUR CAR. IT'S RECOMENDED TO CLEAN YOUR INJECTORS EVERY 30,000 MILES, BUT IF YOU USE INJECTOR CLEANER AFTER EVERY OIL CHANGE, YOUR CAR WILL ALWAYS IDILE AND RUN GREAT. I HAVE OVER 70,000 MILES ON MY GTS AND HAVE ALWAYS USED INJECTOR CLEANER. I HAVEN'T HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY FUEL SYSTEM AND MY CAR RUNS LIKE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. THE INJECTOR CLEANER WILL BOOST YOUR OCTANE POINTS LEVEL JUST A LITTLE BIT, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO HARM YOUR MOTOR OR INJECTORS. IF YOU KEEP YOUR INJECTORS CLEAN YOU WILL NEVER NEED OCTANE BOOSTERS. ALWAYS RUN 91

Sounds to me that some people need to read up on what octane does. High octane is used to delay preignition combustion caused by the heat of compression of a high compression piston and head assembly. It is not better gas, it will not make you go faster, it will not clean the chambers or injectors. IT WILL keep on burning after your exhaust valve opens and subject the valve, seat, converter to burnout heat. Actually unless you have the high compression or are running outragous boost it will decrease your performance due to the slow burn. Aircraft engines use sodium filled valves to handle the heat, but do what you want.

I use always 98 octane (here in belgium it is 95 or 98 nothing else). So your engine won't overheat (like some people are saying.
But be carefull with octane boosters. There are octane boosters that contain lead. This lead causes the cat to malfunction (will be destroyed). So watch on the bottle if it contains lead. If it does, don't use or remove cat.
If it will increase the performance of the engine?? I doubt it, unless you get an ecu update.

From what I've learned: The celica ECU was programmed to work with a preset number of octane. It's useless to use 98 or higher if your ECU isn't programmed to it. It won't help. I use 98 though, I programmed my Greddy Emanage for it Bing
