What type of engine oil does everyone use, and what type would you consider the best?

well right now i'm on mobile 5w-30 but i am moving up to Toyota catsle 5w-30 synthetic, don't know too much about it, i got it from super Autobacs, anyways i going to use it tomorrow, but i would say that redline 5w-30 is the best, but very expensive. Their site claims a 2.7 Hp gain when you use their engine oil, and gear oil

Castrol syntec(full synthetic). i had a box of royal purple, until my dorm neighbor put a gasket on his valve cover wrong and leaked his cheap oil everywhere outside, and then stole my royal purple...and never paid me for it!

It's a toss up. You won't loose with either oil.

I've been using Castrol Syntec full synthetic for about 20,000 miles now. Great oil, no complaints, and I've noticed my engine getting better and better over that time.
