I'm not crazy about that blue, I think silver would go really nice on a silver celica. thumbsup

well, EVERYONE has red, I'm not into that.

The blue is SUPPOSED to be brighter...problem is the spray paint dissolved the plastic painting tray (which is black) and tinted it.

I'm going to repaint tomorrow, and see if I can get it brighter.

I've used this stuff before, it turns out almost like spec blue. Very nice, doesn't peel either.

I got it at stylinconcepts.com [stylinconcepts.com]

I spent $3 on the can of paint I bought, and if I put another coat on tomorrow (with a METAL tray this time) it will look like that.

Might go with "aluminum" which is the color on the rotor piece which attaches to the wheel. thumbsup

Up to you. It's like everyone always says: you get what you pay for. Cheap paint tends to flake after a while.

The link I gave also comes with brake cleaner and brushes.

EVERYONE has red,

Because most big brakes are red smile

Sounds like silver is a better way to go for you then.

I'm going to paint mine soon still deciding on the color. I'd like to check out the silver on calipers.

Anyone have picts?

BTW..VHT Brake caliper paint can be bought at most autoparts place...its 7 bucks..couple bucks more than hi heat engine paint. The g2 paint listed above is some hi-quality stuff. If you got the cash but that stuff.

Diablo... if you had to choose, would you go with Kumhos or Falkens? Which one does better in what? I'm asking this because you like to AutoX.

Diablo, I used *gasp* Ford Blue on my calipers and they came out almost the exact color as my spec blue car, if thats the blue you are going for try that. And I just used the cap of the spray can to hold the paint laughsilly

*EDIT* Also, for the silver there was a post a while back about how to POLISH your calipers with a dremel, makes it silver.

Here's that link to polishing your calipers [formula.bambeezer.com]. I still don't know if I want to do that or paint mine an aluminum color.

If you paint your calipers with aluminum the color will look metallic silver and NOT aluminum. This is what I did to get them to look like the aluminum of stock GTS wheels. I got Dupli-color high heat aluminum and painted the calipers by spraying the paint in a small plastic bowl and then brushing on the paint. After that they will have that metallic silver (sort of cheezy) look. Then use Dupli-color high heat clear and SPRAY the caliper...it will sort of "frost" it and give it the finish like the stock GTS wheels. I painted my calpers and engine plastics at the same time and I was disappointed until I sprayed on the clear...it made a HUGE difference. Highly recommended...hope this helps
