I had a 92 celica gt for six years until I wrecked it. I was just starting to mod it out too. I first put in a K&N air filter but was going to custom make a cold air intake. Also I had put eibach sportline springs on it. They don't make a lot of aftermarket parts for this gen celica but you could customize an exhaust and intake. Also suspension mods are nice, mine handled really well. Maybe a short throw shifter if they make one.

i had a 1993 celica gts.started off with,custom fabricated fiber glass cold air intake,headers,custom 2.5" exhaust,no cat with dragger muffler,unorthodox pulley,fuel preasure regulator,port and polished intake,head,and exhaust manifold
shaved head to bump compression and 75 shot nitro.i blew out my throttle body at a street race,decided to take everything out and converted it to rear wheel with a grand national turbo charged motor.i know a lot of little tricks when it comes to celicas.
