Has anyone changed their dome lights? I see them all over ebay and I think I want to change mine to blue.. How would you change it anyways? Just pop open the cover with a screwdriver and replace them?

yeah, just unscrew it and pop the cover off. easy access to the bulb, but check it out first before you buy, those bulbs in the pic you posted don't look like they would fit.

I'm interested in knowing what brands are good to use, i heard some burn out really fast or the color fades.

those arent the right bulbs. your best bet it so get the right size (interested myself but too lazy to look) then try to find a led bulb so it wont fade.

Here's a link to one of the auctions:
Dome Light Auction [cgi.ebay.com]

It says for Toyota Celica, but I guess not? It also says "..will not burn up or fade..", but then again it's e-bay.. What kind of bulbs would I be looking for to fit?

That 7 color LED dome.. looks to be it has one LED has three color diode that mixes in different way to produce various colors..
But doesn't look like it'll fit our car..
It seems too long..

NOTE~~~!!!!!!
If you have moonroof typical dome type bulb will not work...
Cause Celica with moonroof has different type of bulb for the dome light...

All these pics you guys posted of the dome bulb are for the celi's w/o moonroofs. Does anyone know the correct # for the celis with moonroofs? The bulb is a single end. The tech info pages here say blub number 273 or 293, somthing like that, but i have not yet seen this for sale anywhere!

Accually, i bought those gel caps. You can see them through the dome light cover and in fact are bright enough to bathe the whole car in the color. But like most sales gimmicks at autozone they are very cheap and the color is almost pastel when lit. That and I had a problem with the gel melting to the bulb.

any auto parts store. Just take in your old bulb and ask for a replacement bulb if you are in doubt about which one would fit.
