i'm looking to install my system. i bought all the parts online, so i'm lookin to pay about 100 for amp, head unit, component, and sub installation. does anyone know any shops close to western mass? i'm located in the middle of nowhere, about an hour away from albany, 3 hours away from ny, and 2.5 hours away from boston. i went to a place in albany called Boomer McLoud, but they only install parts you buy from their store (which were WAY too expensive). if you know of a good shop close relatively close to me, please let me know. thanx.

NO shops gonna install all that for less than $300, espically since you didn't buy anything from them. You might wanna try doing it yourself or your going to be out a lot of money.

Your head unit is nothing, if they charge you anything over 50 for that alone its a rip off, you can do that in a few hours or less, i could do it in 30 min, but i live in colorado. the subs you will have to get a box, unless you already have one. See if anyone is selling custom boxes on this site, or newcelica.org, thats what im looking for right now, the enclosure i got is way to big, i got the subs used for 75 from a friend out of his saab.

Amp(s) are really easy, however you might need a power inverter also. Unless you dont carry anything in your trunk you will have to place everything in good locations, like the power-inverter within the sidewall, close to the rear lights, and the amp, right on the box, so you will not damage it carrying a bike or some other junk

If you are really desparate and can drive down to NJ, i'd be happy to do it for ya for under 100, but i don't think you would want to do that trip, but there should be someone around that knows about this stuff, like for your sound, theres gotta be someone with basic knowledge about it there and could use the extra money, just ask around...

thanx guys. i'm suppose to meet up with someone who makes custom boxes to see if he can make one that takes up the least amount of space. if it works out, i'll post it, but if that turns out to be too expensive, i guess i'll be askin around for a installation help. haha wave
