Are there any companys who do right hand drive conversions for any a celica? I'd like to convert mine to right hand drive so i can be different [color=red][/color]
just a question becaues im not sure about it, but is it legal to own a car in the USA with right hand drive? i know i see one every once in a while, but i didnt know if it was legal or not...not sure.
No It is not I emailed a guy in england who does rhd conversions and he said there is nothing in the us that says you can't have a right hand drive car by nothing I mean document do you think i should get a right hand drive conversion?

well, considering i have no clue as to how hard it will be to convert and also how expensive it will be, if you really want it, then go for it. just keep in mind that you'll have to adjust to driving a right hand drive because the perspecives and such will be different as opposed to driving a left hand drive.
but, i cant argue with the fact that, it'd be something different to have.
Here in the netherlands converting and importing is both an option. It is legal if it's retested and found to be okay by a department doing car checks. I think importing is way cheaper than converting.
Why would anyone want a RHD when you drive on the right (as in not left) side of the road
Dear lord, that conversion would be brutal on your poor car. For the price it would cost, just import a Celica that's already RHD. Then you would have TWO Celicas for the less than what the conversion might cost.
Heck, you could probably just import a Skyline for what it would cost. Think about it. You'd have to move all the pedals over, the steering column, gages... the list goes on. But the fun part would be seeing the half-ass job that you'd have to do to cover the holes all those things would leave on the left side. NOT WORTH IT.

yes. i feel very bad for you. it doesnt cost near $25,000 for the conversion. there are people even in socal who can do a very good job for around/less than $9000. I know b/c i was quoted.

I priced what it would cost to import a RHD to the US. It's way to expensive. There are lots of hidden costs that most people don't tell you about. They have to do some conversion to the fuel system and the emissions to make it legal in the US. That plus shipping,taxes and a bunch of other crap can cost anywhere from $12,500-$23,500. That does not include the price of the car.

What about just importing the front clip of the car??? Wonder what that would cost. I know a guy in my area that did that to his 240 he he got the whol front clip to him for only $6400. That included shipping, motor, basically everything from the front seat forward. The only thing that sucks is you have to weld the front clip of the body to your existing rear. But i say if you have the money that would be the way to go!!!!!!

But how many have you actually seen lambos in person. Unless you live in a place where there are tons of modded cars practically no one has seen this in person. I've been to some events and show here and never seen lambos on any car. To me its still very unique.
Recently at a HIN event here in Maryland, there were a few lambo door celicas, and they look OK...but i've heard of TONS of problems with these conversions, even when they are done right. I personally don't like the way radical changes that some people make to our celicas, It's just my opinion, but I'd say stick with your stock doors.

left hand to right hand conversions can be done in the dominican republic(santo domingo)for 1500.00 to 2000.00 plus shipping from port everglades florida. and this aint just talk, i have sent several cars there to do the conversion,but from jdm spec. to us spec (only steering,i dont mess with the power! thats the whole point of jdm)you cant tell that it was rhd or lhd before!the most recent convert was an is200(altezza)the guys over there called me up and asked if i want them to drop the 3sgte turbo charged motor in, since the car would be taken down!i was amazed the first time that i had it done,i had to check the cars chassis# to make sure it was the same car! no sign of work paint wasnt even scratched not a thing to say the work was done it was as if the car was made that way!
