Well, Ferris, apparently you know something I wasn't aware of. I thought the point of this site was to celebrate and congregate about everything Celica. That would mean those who prefer stock, be it for reasons of lack of cash or just personal taste, or for the full bore customizer, be it for reasons of too much cash or personal creativity. My '01 GTS is modded, tastefully, because thats the way I wanted it. And I have more planned. But my first Celica, my first new car, an '87 GTS, was and is bone stock. And still looks best to me that way, and I don't think you could love a car more than I do that one. It's where I developed my enduring appreciation and loyalty for Celicas specifically and Toyota in general. Modding your car doesn't mean jack squat about how much you love or appreciate your car. There are two notable types of people who frequent this site...people who love Celicas period, stock, modded, driving, racing, etc., doesn't matter, and people who love modding and customizing their cars and just happen to have a Celica at this time. I happen to fall into category 1, but to me this site is for both sets of people and anyone else who wants to drop by (respectfully). And they are welcome in my eyes. To me, Isaac has always gone out of his way to make this site just that way. Thats why I come here almost every day, for well over a year now, and not to other sites I used to frequent. You know, I guess thats what fired me up about your post...you just weren't very respectful to the lady. That isn't normal here. xmangt1 exhibits the typical aficionado here by going out of his way to offer to help. thumbsup I started out this response intending to be very sarcastic and condescending, basically in the same vein as your post. But that wouldn't be very respectful to you, now would it, so I'm restraining myself. So here it is in a nutshell...I strongly believe you are misled in your belief. The "point" of this site encompasses celicacutie just as much as it does you or me. Celica is the point of this site, that's all, and modded isn't better than stock, its just another aspect. End of sermon. See y'all next Sunday.

Are the decals available for purchase? I did a search for "decal" in the store and nothing came up. I would like to put something on my very well loved, stock car smile

To each their own. I have orange sidemarkers...YEA!!!!! I never said that sidemarkers were expensive. I just said that I don't have $$$ to modify my car whether it be sidemarkers or new wheels. (sidemarkers was your example) I just feel that your "friends don't let friends drive stock" is ignorant and un-called for. Everyone started off stock (unless they bought a fixed up used car) at sometime, give it a rest.

Some people don't have tons of cash to mod a car, like me. I am barely making my monthly payments, and I feel my "STOCK" car is nice. Everyone has their own issues and plans for their car. Don't diss because someone didn't or can't heavily modify their car. Some choose not to.

We need these cards to say "Friends don't let Friends drive stock." I will be at the meet this Sunday Isaac, so I hope you will have some business cards available so I can do a little promoting for you in the future. thumbsup

there isn't anything wrong with having stock/amber clear corners...
i still have mine for an odd reason spineyes because I wanted clear corners

but it makes no difference...most people would like to have them clear to match the headlight color, so nothing sticks out like orange corners on a black celica with white color scheme...

Isaac's car looks good with his and mine looks fine with them, but I PREFER clear corners, just like most people do. grin

I dunno...I would rather have people voluntarily come to this site on their own will. They'd be a lot more likely to truely enjoy and appreciate it thumbsup
