hi, i just found a guy who is selling the TRD spoiler w/brakelight very cheat. but the problem is he has a silver celi and already painted the trd spoiler silver (#1E7-silver streak). my celi is carbon blue. could i just over paint that spoiler with a carbon blue color or would i have to get the whole silver paint first off?

if you wanted to do it the right way, i'd say strip the paint off, so its primed and then go get it painted . . .but i dont know if you "could" do it the way you want too . .. i wouldn't if it was me

thx for reply
so i would have to get a LOT of paint thinner, right?
or i could just leave the spoiler silver and have my car carb blue - silver color theme with an silver centerhood overlay kit..

are you planning on painting it yourself?
if it were me, i'd strip off the old paint , primer, and paint.

but if you don't go that path, then clean it real good before you paint it.
are you using base clear or single stage enamel?

Def. Have it done at a shop. That way if it gets screwed up, they are responsible!! Besides, painting is hard sometimes..especially "outter" parts. thumbsup thumbsup
