First off, you need a socket wrench, pliers, a screw driver (philips) and some grease (optional)

Get the dash apart and remove the center console

here is the comparison!

Review: I love this!!! It is much smoother, a shorter. On the little "test drive" I did to try it out, I completely waxed this mustang (older, 1980's) and I NEVER dropped out of lift.

Best mod yet!

more TRD stuff to come... tasty

It's VERY nice. I recommend this to every GTS owner, it makes things feel nice and buttery.

Just put the bushings in...I didn't, and the car wouldn't go into 3rd gear spineyes

Oh, and is there a type of shorter shift boot that you can buy to fit the short shifter better?

Well, it took about 20-30 minutes, but, I took pictures along the way, so it ended up being about 45 mins.

Very easy, just undo the center console, take out the old one, clip clip, and you're done!

You don't need a new boot!

The stock boot looks fine grin

I know, but I just wanted to know if there is a boot with less material on it that might fit it a little better. But I agree, the stock one looks fine.

you could always use a sewing maching to make the boot smaller, but, once you get it on there, it looks good, so you don't need to mess with it.

Now, if I could only find a 2003-2004 GTS leatehr shift knob to replace mine with...

And you said you got a deal on that kit, so how much they retail for, and how did you get that deal?

I didn't get a "deal" I paid the asking price.

I'm just saying thanks because for the first time since I've owned the car, the dealer (new one, Russels) took care of me ABOVE my expectations.

I believe retail is like $150 something, but Russels runs discounts on their TRD parts thumbsup

Hmm, I have a sweet shift knob...but I'd rather have a SS kit. You don't want to know what they ask for it in Canada...seriously frown

I'm not too fond of their knobs. The ball one is nice, but the other one is HUGE and defeats the purpose of a hoft shifter.

I like the stock one, just, I want an 03 spineyes

how much do they want for it?

If it's the same part number, and it'smore than $180, you ought to have someone in the US buy it for you!
