ok, i've had these for more than a year now but i want to fix this one problem i have ever since they have installed. does anyone else get a knocking sound up front when the car is bouncing or hits a small hole? it's like my top of the coils are knocking against the metal housing for the suspension. i didn't care at first but i want to fix this now. it's in a 2002 gts. is it installed wrong? :-/

are your bumpstops worn out or are they even in place? a bumpstop is a rubber/foam stopper that prevents the strut from compressing 100%. if it does compress 100% w/o a bumpstop, you'd hear a loud thump each time you hit a bump.

They usually come with them if not you can use your stock ones by cutting them in half. so they allow more spring/strut travel

sounds like your bumpshocks are beat. You need to get some new shocks cause it sounds like your bottoming out. Those skunk2 springs drop your car alot. Get some shocks. I have the same problems when I hit bumps on the highway at high speeds and it irrks the hell out of me.

I have the exact same problem. My Skunk2's make a clanking sounds on bumps or harsh roads. It's definitly metal on metal with it hits. The car does not bottom out. Ride quality is perfect on smooth flat roads. Nice and stiff. Only when you hit a bump or hard road dip. I just installed then a week ago, stock struts and a hypermotive sturt bar. What else do you think it might be? Bad install? I had to cut the perches off to obtain the correct drop height I wanted. Any idea's???
