Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior ATTN: anyone with lambo doors

I want to get these for my car.. but I was wondering how hard they are to open. Are they really heavy? Concider i'm a 111 pound girl... i'm not a complete wimp.. but i don't really need a workout every time i get in and out of my car (although i guess it couldn't hurt)... anybody have any info?

I don't have them but I think there's a hydraulic in there (like in your hatchback). that take's the weight.

Yea I'm pretty sure there's hydraulics otherwise it'd take forever to get out because the door will bang your head

yeah i knew there's a hydraulic in there... but i read in another post something about the door being hard to open... i just want to make sure i can get into my car... haha.. if all else fails i could always go through the trunk

i think there will be a electronic lambo door comming out...

i got mine from dehcah.. it's not that hard to open the door.. basictly openning your door regularly and it stops in a certain distance, and then all you gotta do is bring it up the door straight up. Weight wise your basictly lifting up the your door.. i would say 40 to 50 lbs! am really sure the weight of the door.

It might be little hard to lift up the door from inside. But, you can get in and off without lifting up the door, if you are a little lady. SO, no problem

i want those rims man..how much they cost...i want a huge lip not like a little whimp ass one like i usally see with racing harts...i want some in Graphite...but most places i see racing harts rims they never look the same as what you have...the lip is small...where you get em ? cost?

i paid it myself.. i wasn't up for the sponsorship then but now companies are coming onto me.. I meet the owner of Perilli in NYC when i was doing a photosshot for "Redline Magazine".. they giving me a free tires! i was surprised when he give me his card.. stating he will get intouch with me

hey ask phatceligt about them . hes the most helpful guy on these doors . if its possible get him to install them for you . he knows soooo much about them that i will go to no other . i trust him .

no offense i think either you or the guy with the red gt300 should of done couple things different ie. rims and hood i mean i'm not hating but i know if i put that much money into something i wouldn't want to see the same thing somewhere else except in a different color still nice whip

What kinda rims are those? im sellin my rims and am in the process of finding a place to install my BRS flares. BTW your car is lookin VERY nice

You just replace the fuel door with one that is molded to flow with the kit, simple as that

How much did it cost to install and paint the 14 pc APR wide body kit, and did you have any problem fiting the front rims since they are 19"X8.5" did you have to shave around the tire> I know the back rims fit good even though they are 10" wide, do you need to have special shoks to drive the car with those rims on or you can drive with ur stock ones if you go on a bump hard will it hit teh body kit and brake it or not i'm interested in all this because i have a GTS Celica 2002 and i am gonna buy the wide APR body kit HR Rims And the Apr 300 13" high And ^67" Long wing, i'm thinking to spend 9 thousand dollars cash i have it in my chacking/saving account i worked my ass off for 4 months but that body kit is my dream car would that money would be enough to hook it all up and paint it make it look just like urs except without lombo doors, pls help me on this its verey inportant to me

Those r the best rims I've ever seen on a Celica

Just got my lambo's installed about a week and 1/2 ago... They look great, but seem to be a pain in the ass at times.
