I sit at home on the weekends and play on the computer... Anyway if someone can make a mold for some Carbon Fiber doors and start producing them at a low cost I would be all over that.

EDIT: Shit it doesn't seem so hard, I might just do this myself using some of the money I was gonna use on parts... who's intrested in carbon fiber doors and fenders?

EDIT: Doh I was just reading above making Carbon Fiber covers, hmm but I think I have an idea on how I could get this to work.

Oh screw it, nevermind.

No wait I just had another idea, yes. I'm going to say yes, it can be done. If that carbon fiber cover stuff is good, I can make Carbon Fiber doors and fenders.

You guys had been asked by a Moderator to stick to the topic. I don't think that's too much to ask. Please respect that and stick to the topic.

one of the local tuner shops by me sells Carbon Fiber mat, but it's real expensive. Try a google search for carbon fiber mat.

You can work with it like fiberglass, but fabricating fiberglass parts can be tricky.

If the issue is weight savings, just work with fiberglass and paint it; it's cheaper, and a good way to learn before you mess up a part with the expensive Carbon Fiber matting. Most Carbon Fiber parts have a fiberglass core anyways, because Carbon Fiber is somewhat flimsy by itself. Make your parts out of fiberglass, and laminate the final layer using carbon fiber mat. that way, you use less Carbon Fiber, the part is light, strong, and will look cool.

This is about the cheapest places you can find materials:
http://www.discountcomposite.com
http://www.noahsmarine.com (have a special on right now)

I'm going to try some parts of my own during the winter. You really have to experiment, don't expect great results firs try.

here's a very useful site:
http://www.mci.i12.com/carbon/
He's done just about every part for his motorcycle.

Hope this helps wave
