Just use nail polish remover to remove the orange paint on the OEM needles.

Whoooaaaaa...wait a minute...I thought that if we removed the needles it would be a real pain in the a$$ to recalibrate it? Tony any tips on how to do put the needles back in the position they were originally if removed?

Ok, here's the scoop... You can take the needles off and paint the back of the needles any color you want, and during the day, it will look the color of what you painted it. However, at night, you are still going to light up orange, no matter what color you painted the needle. This is where the led's come in. This makes the needles look the color that you want both day or night.
After you've painted the needles and/or changed out the led's, you'll need to take the gauge cluster back to the car, hook it up without the clear protective plastic on, and turn the car to the ACC state, then place the needles back on at the zero point. This makes them good as new...

well my speedometer is off because I went with 225/40/18 tires, but my RPM should be working correctly. If I need to recalibrate my RPM needle I will just look at my S-AFC RPM numbers and put the needle back on.

imported1, i remember the hammer gave a link to the type of led's he uses. you gotta find the right size and current rated ones or else they'll fry or not be as bright. once you find out the exact led's you can do it urself if you kno how to solder. check for polarity too or u'll fry the led's no matter wat
