Hi,

Im new to the forum and just wanted to say hello. I love my new 03 auto gt inside and out...but...

Its kinda slow frown . I have wrestled with the idea of putting some mods on it or trading it in now while it still has low mileage for something more powerful (and a stick...)

The prob is its a beautiful car, especially with the Action package and leather interior and that Absolutely Red exterior paint job has a superb high intensity shine on a bright sunny day.

Sadly, after being smoked by just about every vehicle on the road I've become slightly dejected. If it is at all possible to improve the car's performance I would much prefer that than trading it in. I don't want to have mind boggling power or a turbo (too much money).

What would you guys (and gals) recommend?

Can you notice a difference with I/H/E? I read on some posts that people were saying that the car was even slower with mods???? They mentioned that the low end torque was actually reduced, does this sound right?

it's your call with the warranty...if you have over 30 on it and nothing's gone wrong then go for it

yes, low end torque is reduced with a lot of bolt-ons, but you're top speed will be greater. as you're rpm's increase, you should gain time. it just depends on how far you are racing...

haha this will DEFINATELY make your car much faster, for an ok price. (you just have to keep buying the darn stuff over and over again..) 50 shot, though? that'll give you a lot but it probably won't be legal.

if you want something even the cops can see i'd recommend visiting a NOS dealer and getting a 50 state legal kit installed. thumbsup

i don't intend to be mean (because i have an auto GT myself) but get used to being "smoked" unless you plan on forced induction or some serious bolt ons...and even with the standard intake/exhaust/header/pulley combo you will still lose to a 5sp GT. sorry to say our celis are not drag cars and are meant for the corners...autox? maybe...i dunno, my auto GT is a great commuting car,it handles well,looks good,and gets the job done...as a performance car it is low in it's class...sorry to say rice

Doesn't a short ram give you better low end than a CAI?
Short Ram =low end
CAI =high end

Is this right.

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.
