Is there anything special that needs to be done to alter the returnless fuel system on our cars before installing a dry nitrous kit?

don't install a dry system, install a wet system.

if you are going to spray you might as well get wet nos system... Dry system sucks...

If you want to be fast go direct port

the n20 (probably either nitrous express, zex, or NOS) kit you purchase should come with everything you need to start right up. professional installation is recommended, though. unless you have a lot of experience of course

You can run a wet system like mine on a stock engine... They say you should only go 55hp or 65hp setups just to be safe... It's fun...

Let me remind all those who don't know. NX and NOS are 2 different nitrous oxide product making companies. Both companies make dry kits, wet kits, direct port kits, and intercooler spray kits.

How does the intercooler spray work? Doesn't it go infront of your radiator to cool down the air coming in?

It should be safe with stock internals up to around 50 shots of nitrous with a wet kit.

many people have used a 50 wet shot with stock internals safely.

how much would it be for a professional instalation?

to the original question!do nothing if you are runing "DRY" if you want to add a hi flo pump then thats ok but the way to go is wet.if you are going wet,make sure the t fitting is big enough not to restrict the flow(if its not really tight to get into the fuel line its probably to small)and make sure the line is not twisted or kinked.depend on the "T" you are using make sure the side with the best straight flow goes to the motor.and to a lesser degree, locate the "T" on the fuel line where the fitting for the nitrous solenoid doesnt tap into the line where the fuel is on its way up,but on a flat or on its way down to the fuel rail.(dont tap the line all the way to the back close to the firewall where its coming up from beneath the car!)if you are stock 50 shot nx or 60 shot nos wet.if you have a built for nitrous motor(you shouldnt be asking such questions)blo'or go aint nothin like nitro!

I have a 45 shot, wet made by NOS and it works great! By the way ya cant run a dry kit there isn't a FPR on the fuel line, w/o the FPR a dry kit wont provide the extra psi to the fuel rail and will cause det. in the engine!

given you have a relatively new engine. it does wear an engine out faster and you should not use n2o on an old engine.
