Here are the first of the pics about my progress of one of my many rojects for the up-coming months. I'm installing a custom fiberglass speaker box and amp rack where my back seats where, and i'm dying the interior plastics a dark gray.

Honestly... i have a feeling that my project will never be completely finished. I'll get done with the plans that I have now, and there will be something else I want to do, so it'll be a vicious circle

OK... I got the interior dyed from the trunk to up to the panels next to the backseat (i haven't quite found the guts to pull the door panels off, or tackle the dash yet..)

So, i go to put the panels back in, and discover that it's a WHOLE lot easier to pull them out, than to put the back in. To be honest, it's a pain in the A$$. I got it done though, and when I finish the door panels and the dash, i'll be posting more pics. I had to pull my box and speakers out to finish the back, so I'm gonna be missing them for a while. thumbsdown

so goes the saying...its always easier to tear down than to build up. were the clips the problem?

Take the seat backs off (the bolts are obvious when you fold the seats down) After the backs are off, feel on the front of the seat bottoms, there are two clips that hold it on, nothing more, one per side. Put your hand on each side of a clip, and pull up. (you need some leverage, the clips are a b!tch) Next, lift your seats out. Done.

It was a huge pain to get the clips into the proper holes, and it was a b!tch to line the panels up right. It was a trial and error thing, i had to pull them out and put them back in several times before they fit right.

i think that the people who work in shops just resign themselves to the fact that they have to deal with the stupid clips in order to be able to do the fun parts.
