if I take my car to the dealer, I remove EVERY aftermarket part from the car. My dealership stole the TRD exhaust that was on my car, and said "oh no, it was stock" like I wouldn't know. since it was on the car when I bought it, I can't prove it. I hope you get it all fixed/comped, that sucks ass! first thing first. why didnt you step up from back then? dont you have any proof that you own that exhaust? dont you have any pictures taken of ur car with the exhaust? thats first. second, you go to the dealer and tell them if you dont take responsibility of it now, you will do it the hard way. get a lawyer, contact Toyota USA and complain about the specific dealership and tell everything from exhaust to the 5th stolen car. even if you want, you can sue Toyota USA by warning them that the specific dealership is not taking responsibility so i find you responsible since their a branch of u. theyll make it up for you somehow, either pay you off to shut ur mouth, or make the branch do something about it. have more pictures for proof (ur subwoofer b4 and after) and everything else. as for the stealing, it looks like a professional one. no cutting, no harms anywhere. the person took the piece out like he knew how to, same with the system. this might show that this person not only knows about the car, but works at the dealer, and could be the guy who parked ur car there or a friend of his. he looked and learned ur car and planned o how to steal and where to put the car to be easier to steal. take every single crap into consideration. take fingerprints and all the rest. good luck learn how to defend urself. noone is thinkin to protect you out there, do it urself. defend ur right! ur paying for this car for this long and have warranty for a purpose, for a good service which includes good customer care.

That's some fucking bullshit. Sounds to me like the fuckers got into the car with a key and busted the shit out of it to make it look like it was just a regular smash and grab job. Ya know, the typical inside job.
Since they don't have any cameras on their lot, I'd get some friends, go up there at night, and fuck some shit up. That's just me though. The way the dealership is handling all of this, it sounds like they deserve it.
But just take legal action, and I'm sure you'll get reimbursed.
Also, if you find out that it was some of your friend's little fucking brother and friends, beat some ass.

Hey man,
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with this dealership and having your car broken into. I had my last car broken into about a year ago and I was raging too. Just to add my two cents here, firstly about the liability for your car having been broken into on the lot, when you first come to to authorize the work you need done (usually through a service advisor), he presents you with a work order which you go over with him and then sign. If you read what you have just signed, it waives all kinds of liability away from the dealer, incl. but not limited to having it broken into or even if it is crashed by a tech. during a road test. Rare things to happen, but it's still there.
Secondly, regarding diablos reply about having your TRD exhaust stolen by the dealer, no offence, but that is the biggest load of BS i have heard. You think a mechanic makes money by spending the half an hour out of his day to take off your exhaust, and another half an hour to bolt on a new one? Tech's work on flat rate, they have to be quick to make money...and if one was crooked and did try to steal it, somone in the shop would notice, trust me.
Anyways, good luck with your insurance claim or whatever route you take.
Merry x-mas

Merry x-mas You think it's BS. It was on the car when I bought it, now its not. I think it's worth $400 for them to undo the TRD and slap on the stock from THEIR car (one guy there drives a GTS) onto my car. Don't come here and call on me, noob.
